| Is this course for you? | |
| This course is aimed at people who have a strong desire to work as part of a team as Air Cabin Crew. You will enjoy working with a variety of people, both ‘in-flight’ and ‘ground staff’. Travel will be an interest to you, as too will be the desire to deliver high standards of customer service. You will study the aviation industry and the role of Cabin Crew. There will also be a number of practical activities dealing with team briefings, security and ‘in-flight’ activities such as customer care, food and drink service and duty free simulations. A dedicated classroom is provided with relevant Aviation resources providing a realistic working environment. All applicants will be invited in for an interview and a general knowledge test. |

| What do you need to get on the course? | |
| A minimum of two GCSEs at Grade C or above, one of which must be English or equivalent Level 1 Travel and Tourism course. Places are based upon the outcome of an initial interview, followed by a group interview with short numeracy and general knowledge tests. Students must be 17 by the end of December following their September enrolment. | |

| What's the course about? | |
| This course is run in conjunction with JARE Birmingham, who provide additional training and certification, aircraft/check-in simulated resources to all candidates. There are six main areas of study:- Candidates will also study Key Skills in IT, Communication or Numeracy. Students may have the opportunity to participate in an overseas educational trip as well as educational visits locally. |

| Is work experience a necessary part of the course? | |
| No work experience is required for this qualification. | |
| How will you be assessed? | |
| Assessment will be by written assignments, externally assessed tests and the production of portfolios of evidence. | |

| City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in for Air Cabin Crew (New Entrants) OCNW Level 2 in Aviation First Aid RSPH Foundation Certification in Food Safety |

| What can this course lead to? | |
| It is envisaged that successful candidates will progress into employment within the aviation industry or enrol on the Level 3 BTEC National Award in Aviation Operations or Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism. | |
