For 2008 the Principal's Annual Charity committee chose
Beechwood Cancer Care Centre as their beneficiary. Stockport College arranged a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to support the charity. A record sum of over £7,500 was raised for Beechwood. Read the news when a cheque was presented to the Chief Executive of Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.
In 2007, the beneficiary was The Teenage Cancer Trust - Young Oncology Unit, Christie Hospital in Manchester. This is one of the leading specialist centres in the UK for young people diagnosed with cancer. Stockport College hosted a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.
The charity year produced beneficial side projects, and altogether the college raised £2385.53 for the YOU. Read about the occasion when the college's Hairdressing students handed over the final donation to the YOU representatives.

In 2006, the chosen charity was Child Victims' Support and particular attention was focussed upon assisting the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust near Lymm in Cheshire. Over £2,300 was raised throughout the year and donated to the charity Chairman in the spring of 2007. Read on...
