| The scheme is primarily intended for people working in the Electrical Contracting Industry or those who will eventually be employed in the industry. | |
| What do you need to get on the course? | |
| A reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy is required with preferably a GCSE C in Maths, English & Science together with the motivation to want to be successful in the Electrical Contracting Industry. Prospective candidates should also be capable of working with minimum supervision and have practical capabilities. |

| Each component studied is assessed by a City & Guilds multi-choice paper. Students who successfully complete any component receive a Certificate of Unit Credit. A final certificate is awarded for success in all components. |

| City & Guilds 2351: Knowledge of Electrical Installation Engineering | |
| What can this course lead to? | |
| Successful candidates may progress on to the NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Engineering. | |
