National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) can be studied full-time at Stockport College, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a real working environment within the College, such as the Motor Vehicle Workshop or Hairdressing Salon.
Higher National Certificates (HNCs), studied part-time, and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs), studied full-time, are Higher Education qualifications which are high-level qualifications in their own right or may be converted into degrees by a further two years study. Students choosing to progress to degree level study at Stockport College then graduate at one of a number of universities with which Stockport College has a close relationship.
Key Skills, included in all study programmes, are those necessary for all careers - communication, application of number, information technology, working with others, improving own learning and performance and problem solving.
