At Stockport College you’ll have access to an excellent Library+ at each Campus. You can use whichever one suits you best – maybe even both. We provide our learners with textbooks, journals, magazines, newspapers, leisure reading, DVDs, and lots of computers. Plus, we have many e-resources for your subjects including e-books, online journals and lots of other great material. That means you have lots of ways to use many of our resources and services even when you’re out of College.

There is an online catalogue which students can use to search for resources on both campuses.

Each Library+ includes features that our students told us they really wanted to see. Both have comfortable areas with sofas and beanbags to help you relax whilst you work. Many students enjoy working on one of our wi-fi laptops sitting on a beanbag, but you can still choose to use a computer at a desk if you prefer.
For when you want to concentrate, each Library+ has a quiet area. Heaton Moor Library+ also has a Group Room for students wanting to work on projects together. It is kitted out with a digital video projector, screen and PC.
Our Finishing Touches areas are very popular. Here you can create more professional looking documents and assignments. Just ask Library+ staff to show you how.
Because we’re here to help you make the most of these resources, your college ID card is also your library card. So you don’t need to bring anything else with you.
