GMCG Skills Competitions 2022

by india

Teams of students from across Greater Manchester have been battling it out in a skills competition that highlights the ‘best of the best’ in a number of different areas. Spanning from the 24th to 31st March the teams and individuals involved have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and talents in 10 skill sector competitions ranging from Enterprise to Construction. The GMCG skills competitions have taken place for the last six years with winners going through to represent the region at a national level.

Early Years

We took 6 learners from Stockport campus and 6 learners from Altrincham campus to take part in the Early Years Greater Manchester College Group skills competition.

Both groups came second in two different categories and Altrincham came 3rd overall. It was a great day out and our learners were able to showcase their skills and knowledge.

“It was amazing to see the effort the students put in to preparing and participating in each and every event.” – Hannah Birch, Programme Leader for Early Years
