Portfolio/ Interview Guidelines

BA (HONS) DESIGN AND VISUAL ARTS

All students have the opportunity to demonstrate their suitability for our course at interview [we interview most students who apply to us, definitely all first and second choice]. This is formal but relaxed, designed to encourage you to be able to demonstrate your potential. There will definitely be no trick questions! Bring along some of your best work, your sketchbooks/ notebooks and be prepared to talk about it.

The interview will only last about 20 minutes. We don't normally tell you our decision on the day. You will receive this information via UCAS after about two weeks.

Applicants for all pathways of the course will be asked questions about their desire to learn and embrace the expectations of study at HE level. We will want to elicit your true level of interest and enthusiasm for the subject by asking you about your'e work and your influences.
