Students Take Their Talent on the Road |
|
| This year’s Art and Design Graduates at Stockport College are taking their talent in front of Manchester leading design industry figures on a unique traveling exhibition on the 9th June. | |
The graduates have created the exhibition space on an iconic Routemaster double decker bus, which will be picking up design professionals directly from their offices. In attempt to get Stockport's newest Graphic Design, Illustration and Multimedia talent seen and heard by their potential future employers, the moving exhibition will provide an opportunity for the students to show their work, network and talk with the designers. The moving exhibition is coinciding with the graduates’ main Final Show which will be open to public at Stockport College between 8th – 12th June. Their design tutor, James Corazzo from Stockport College, said: "We have an excellent programme here at Stockport College and we produce very talented graduates, it’s really important to us that they get the exposure they deserve. The competition in the field is fierce so this unique opportunity may prove priceless for our students when seeking employment within the industry." Katie Bradshaw, who will be graduating in Graphic Design this year, said: "Although we're right on the doorstep of Manchester, we recognise that designers are extremely busy so we figured we should take the show to them. This is a fantastic chance for us to meet with the professionals and show them what we could bring to the industry. We are all keen to get on the career ladder when we finish our studies here at Stockport College." The Graduates’ art is on show for the public between 8 – 12th June at Stockport College.
