Schools Liaison

School Liaison

Our Schools Liaison team are here to help school students get ready for the next exciting stage of their education, which starts by going to college. From providing a taste of what it’s like to study at Stockport College, to giving in-depth information on the amazing range of vocational courses on offer, they provide a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable link between schools and the college. For teachers and parents or carers, the team provides expert advice on applications and the right education path to choose.

What we offer

Taster Days

With a variety of subject areas to choose from at Stockport we offer group events and activities designed to build skills and confidence, inspiring students to aim higher when they leave school.

School Presentations

Our team are always happy to attend school career evenings, year group assemblies and skill events to inform, engage and inspire your students about their next steps after school.

Mock Interviews

To help support your students in their next steps we offer mock interview activities - giving them the opportunity to develop the key skills that will secure their place at their chosen college or sixth form.

Career Advice

Whether it’s career advice, student wellbeing and learning support, or subject-specific activities, we offer everything schools need to show students what college can achieve and how to choose the right course for them.

At Stockport College we aim to inspire the next generation by engaging students across schools in Greater Manchester and the North West. We can advise on the range of technical and professional courses and apprenticeships available. Plus, we offer hands-on activities such as mock job interviews to inspire and engage with students, as well as tours of the college campuses for school groups and individuals.

Our Schools Liaison team provides the perfect window into the opportunities at Stockport College. They provide a wide range of activities designed for learners still at school to let them know what they could achieve by choosing college.
