AS and A Levels

Who are they for?

AS/A Levels are suitable for students who have enjoyed the GCSE style of learning and wish to continue studying traditional subjects, although the College also offers some subjects that may be new to you such as Psychology and Law. The minimum entry requirements are 5 GCSE A* - C including English Language.

How long will they take?

AS Levels are studied over 1 year and to achieve the full A Level (A2) you will need to study for a further year.

How are they assessed?

AS/A Levels are mainly assessed through exams, although there is sometimes a coursework unit.

What can I do after the course?

Most successful students go on to university but there are also job opportunities for those with AS/A Levels as well.

G.C.S.Es

Who are they for?

If you gained D/E Grades in your G.C.S.E.s at school, you may wish to re-sit some of these.
