COURSES & QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to your full time course you can study for additional qualifications to broaden your CV. The following is an example of some of the courses and qualifications we provide.

DJ Lessons

Learn how to DJ for beginners through to intermediate level.

F.A. Level 1 Certificate in Football Coaching

This is the most popular coaching course in the UK and is the ideal introduction to coaching for all coaches with little experience or knowledge. The course is open entry and participants do not need any experience to take part, just an interest in coaching and the motivation to improve their skills and understanding.

First Aid

The First Aid course aims to teach basic first aid skills which can be used in an emergency situation. The course includes practical work, watching videos and role play. The Certificate is valid for 3 years.

Law Society
If you are interested in practicing law; debating controversial legal issues; raising awareness of matters of public concern; taking part in mock trials; visiting courts, police stations, prisons and town halls; hearing talks or attending workshops from a variety of speakers; watching law-related videos; gaining helpful careers advice; taking part in competitions and celebrating key dates in our legal history; then join the Law Society which is open to all.

World Challenge
World Challenge is a powerful 15-20 month team building and skills development programme which culminates in a challenging four-week expedition to an exciting worldwide destination that includes rewarding project work, trekking and cultural adventure.

Young Enterprise
Form your own company. Develop a product – maybe run a craft stall, after you have made the products. Earn yourselves and your shareholders a cash return

COMMUNITY
Are you someone who gains satisfaction from helping others? If so, then we can provide various volunteering opportunities. You will receive a certificate as evidence of all the volunteering you will have done during your time at the college. Whatever area you choose to help in, there will also be an opportunity to gain the Millennium Volunteer Award which is becoming increasingly sought after by Universities.

It is worth noting that when recruiting, a number of career areas will be looking specifically for the type of people who are selflessly and generously willing to help others – for example.
