Stockport Basketball Club is one of the oldest Clubs in the country, being first established in 1963, and has a proud history and a positive future. The club runs teams at local and National level for young people from 12 year olds to adulthood, for both male and females.
The Basketball Academy delivers a structured programme of excellence that creates opportunities for young people to develop individual and team skills that will help take them to an elite level of basketball.
The Basketball Academy is led by Stockport Basketball Club's Director of coaching, John Brady, himself a former Junior International and Professional player with Manchester Giants. His approach is based on his own coaching and playing experience and covers all aspects of the game, including the mental and physical demands made upon a quality player.
Teams from the College compete at local and National inter-College competition throughout the playing season and individual players who wish will have opportunities to compete for places in the Stockport Club's National League teams.
