Sports Facilities

Stockport College Academy of Sport currently encompasses three campuses. Woodley Sports Campus, Town Centre Campus and Heaton Moor Campus.

 

Woodley Sports Campus

This is the venue for both the Men’s and Women’s Football Excellence Centres. All training and matches take place at these excellent facilities. In addition some of the academic courses are also taught at this campus.

Woodley Sports Campus presently consists of a full size 3G football pitch, seated stadium, separate training pitch, four changing rooms and showers, sports injuries clinic and a sports café bar.

The Woodley Sports Campus is currently in an exciting phase of further development. Planning permission has been granted for a £4.5 million development of the site to improve this already impressive facility.

Therefore for the start of the 2010-2011 Academic Year the Woodley Sports Campus will include:

Modern Lecture Rooms
Fully equipped Fitness Gym
Sports Café
8 full size grass football pitches
2 full size third generation (3G) artificial surfaces. The present 3G pitch is enclosed within a seated stadium.
5 a side football pitches and training pitches
Tennis Courts
Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic
Substantial Changing Rooms, Showers and Toilet Facilities
Corporate Hospitality Rooms
Free Car Parking

Town Centre Campus

This is the venue for the Men’s Basketball Academy and the Darts Academy. In addition most of the academic sports courses are delivered at this campus.

The sports facilities include a 4 court sports hall, a multi purpose sports hall, an air conditioned fully equipped fitness gym, changing rooms and showers.

Heaton Moor Campus

The BTEC National Diploma Sports Development & Fitness course is based at this campus.

The sports facilities include a 4 courts sports hall, 2 squash courts, an air conditioned fully equipped fitness gym, changing rooms and showers.
