We offer an extensive programme of recreational activities for both students and staff. These are run by the Student Union Sports Club on behalf of the College.
To take part in the recreational activities you first must become a member of the Student Union Sports Club. This can be done by producing a current Stockport College Student I.D. card or a Stockport College Staff I.D. card at the Student Union Sports Club/Recreational Sports reception in the College.
A charge of £25 per academic year will entitle you to use the gym and also participate free of charge in the timetabled recreational sports. Those who are under 18 and a student at Stockport College may be entitled to a free Sports Card. To find out if you are entitled to be on Enrichment please visit Student Services at the College.
The gym is also available to members of the public who do not posses a College I.D. The price is £60 per year.
We also hold recreational sports leagues and a number of external recreational activities such as water sports, skiing, outdoor pursuits, tours of sports stadiums and museums and trips to professional sports games. Where applicable these will be subject to an additional cost. Please check notice boards in the Student Union and in the sports area at the College or phone the Recreational Sports reception on 0161-958-3320.
