Stockport College is committed to ensuring that individuals are not discriminated against on grounds of their mental health. This includes difficulties like anxiety, depression and schizophrenia.
Between one in four and one in six people will experience some kind of mental health problem during the course of any one year. Our aim is to ensure that you are fully supported if you have a difficulty and that you have the same opportunities to learn, as do other students. It is really important that we know about your difficulties before you start your course, so that we can ensure you have the support that you need as early as possible.
It is not unusual to feel anxious or panicky about being in a college environment, a classroom situation or to feel unmotivated and struggle to get into college on time.
